Rabigh power plant
The Rabigh 2 IPP Expansion Project is a major energy infrastructure development located in the Western Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, approximately 150 km north of Jeddah. The project is spearheaded by Al Mourjan Two for Electricity Company (the Employer) and sponsored by the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC). It aims to significantly enhance the existing power plant’s capacity through the addition of 2200 MW.
ICE is engaged as the specialized subcontractor responsible for the full scope of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems. This includes the complete lifecycle of the CP package, covering detailed engineering design, technical calculations, and procurement of all specialized materials. The scope further extends to on-site construction, installation supervision, testing, and final commissioning.
The objective of the CP system was to ensure the long-term integrity of buried pipelines and storage tank foundations by mitigating the effects of soil and water corrosivity. All works are executed in compliance with applicable international standards such as NACE and ASME, ensuring a design life of 25 years for critical metallic infrastructure and reliable performance within a high-capacity operational environment.

ICE successfully implemented a comprehensive Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) for FAJR Company, covering its full network of pipelines and associated facilities. The work included a detailed review and standardization of existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identification of gaps against international integrity management practices, and development of a structured, risk-based integrity framework. ICE carried out system-level assessments to define inspection strategies, corrosion management approaches, and maintenance planning tailored to FAJR’s operational conditions. The deliverables included customized integrity plans, performance monitoring methodologies, and clear roles and responsibilities to ensure sustainable implementation. This work enabled FAJR to transition from reactive maintenance to a proactive, data-driven integrity management approach, improving reliability, safety, and long-term asset performance.
Aqaba–Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project
ICE carried out a comprehensive Corrosion Risk Assessment Study (CRAS) for the Aqaba–Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project, covering the full length of the conveyance pipeline and associated facilities. The scope included evaluation of internal and external corrosion threats, assessment of material selection, coatings and linings, and the development of a robust corrosion control strategy tailored to the project’s challenging operating conditions, including high flow velocities, aerated water, and variable soil environments. ICE also defined the requirements for cathodic protection systems, AC interference mitigation, and long-term integrity monitoring, ensuring a reliable, safe, and sustainable pipeline design aligned with the 50-year project life.

ADNOC Offshore – Worley PL5 Off-shore Project
For ADNOC Offshore – Worley (PL5 Offshore Project), ICE provided specialized materials selection and corrosion integrity deliverables, supporting the reliability of offshore assets under aggressive marine conditions.
Sheikh Maktoom Solar Park
ICE contributed to strategic decarbonization infrastructure through its involvement in the Sheikh Maktoum Solar Park, where it performed detailed cathodic protection surveys and studies to ensure long-term durability of critical structures.
ADNOC Gas - Worley
For ADNOC Gas – Worley, ICE executed a comprehensive LNG trains remaining life assessment and rejuvenation study, evaluating asset condition, identifying degradation mechanisms, and defining mitigation strategies to extend operational life. Across these projects, ICE demonstrated its capability to deliver integrated, risk-based solutions that enhance asset performance, ensure compliance with international standards, and support safe, long-term operations in both conventional and energy transition sectors.
